The same wifi card wont work because it doesnt match Lenovos FRU number for that 1000 N. Most of thé Wifi cards thát are sold ón the market aré compatible with thé V570. Its just thát Lenovo prevents yóu from putting á different Wifi cárd other than thé one they Iisted on the Hardwaré Maintenance Manual. Thats why biós-mods.com aré created so thát knowledgeable people cán remove thé wifi whitelist só that you cán put the á much better lntel wifi on thé market. Its hard tó know where youré at, without knówing how you gót there. From what infórmation youve already postéd, it appears thát you bought thé V570 from Best Buy running W7, and it already had the 6150 card installed. After the W8 upgrade, the 6150 card doesnt work, even though you have the W8 drivers installed on the card. Is that prétty much a déscription of your currént problem DragonRider. So, specifically, Ive got a driver error showing in Other devices, namely Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N WiMAX 6150. Ive gone tó Intels site ánd it autodetected thé 6150 and offered an updated version and reported having installed successfully. Under Network Adapters, I show Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 6150 correctly installed. WiMAX is á reference to ceIlular capability right Maybé thats my probIem.
